I am own 2 dachshunds Jack and Jill . My female is only thirteen pounds,my male is 24lbs. . Someone elses bad luck was my luck as the previous owners dies three years ago about a year apart. I had no intention of fostering these wieners.What is amazing is that I have had 5 different litters.I think the puppies are the coolest puppies Ive ever seen. . When Jill had her first litter I wasn't home . She shocked me a little bit by the speed at which she had the pupss. We found more pups behind the toilet,one was still in the sack and not breathing.

Jill was scared of the dachshund puppies . We lifted the sick puppy up and told Jill to lie down so her baby could try and suckle. After an hour or so she took to the pup and let it lay next to her, stripped it and let it bunged . We thought we only had the 2 pups after looking around and finding no more.

2 hours later it was bed time and we trundled upstairs. Jill and her newborn dachsund spent the night with us in our room so we could make sure everything was alright. . Once they were both happy lying down in their box my husband switched off the light. . Just as he made his way over to the light he thought he could notice a little noise in the corner.

He opened the door and pursued the sound to the bed room across the hall. . Much to his surprise he came across another newborn puppy lying in the bed. Jade was cleaning the poor little chap . I forgot to mention Jade is a 90 pound pit bull so you can imagine my hubbys gobsmacked when he saw little and large .

Jade had to have an operation when younger so was never able to have a dachshund . Qqueerly however she has coped every time to produce milk when Jill has puppies . Jade thinks Jills pups are hers too. Every litter she has had has drank off jade . They lay with her all the time. Jill knows only too well that the pups couldnt be watched better by anybody else so herself and Jade have come to an accord. They nap in one big pile Skippy,Jill,Jade and the infants. .

I have never seen so many dog sitters for a miniature dachshund. They leap all over Jade . She just lays there waggling her tail or plays with them. She jumps onto them and they leap straight back at her. .She has never hurt one even by mistake big as she is .
